Clinical Neurophysiology is an expanding specialty in great demand with vacancies at the entry level of the Specialist Registrar grade and at consultant level. Neurophysiology departments work in the usual office hours with variable non-resident on calls, which keeps a good work –life balance. As a Consultant there are several areas available for developing specialist interests and research. There is considerable direct patient contact allowing application of Neurological clinical skills and knowledge. Additionally the opportunities for clinical teaching, research, private work and medico-legal work are also plenty.
