Foundation Year 1 (F1) enables medical graduates to begin to put into practice the skills learned at medical school whilst under close supervision within a variety of hospital and community healthcare settings. Satisfactory completion will allow application for full GMC registration and progression to Foundation Year 2 (F2).

On the following tabs, you will find our indicative Foundation, Foundation Priority (FPP) and Specialised Foundation (SFP) Programmes for each school.
Please note that these are indicative rotations only, based upon the August 2025 intake.
These should be used as examples of what will be available for the August 2026 intake, and give you an idea of the trusts covered by each school, as well as likely combinations when the trust will change between years.
You may note that the August 2026 intake will have different programme codes to previous intakes. These have been updated to be more consistent, and the new codes will identify school, employer per year and type.
In August 2026, there will also be no geographically based groups within the schools; please take this into account when preferencing as some schools cover a wide area.
