All trainees will have a named Educational Supervisor in their hospital, who will be responsible for their appraisals. It is mandatory that the trainees will have 3 formal appraisals in a year, with monthly informal reviews to ensure progression with the curriculum (Respiratory & IM Stage 2).
Each hospital site has educational lead to support local training and job plans.
ARCPs are held in October.
A mentorship scheme is being introduced which will allow trainees in the first 2 years to have links with more senior trainees in a mentorship model, in addition to the expected informal links between all the trainees.
