Critical appraisal is the process of evaluating the quality of published evidence.
It allows health professionals to assess the accuracy of diagnostic tests and efficacy of therapies and preventions, and thereby improve and optimize their clinical practice. The region supports local courses and there are several other resources that trainees may take advantage of:
