How are the ARCPs Scheduled?
ARCPs for AIM/GIM trainees are scheduled to take place annually in late October or early November.
Two weeks prior to meeting trainees, their e-Portfolio will be reviewed by an ARCP panel to determine what the ARCP outcome will be.
Progression & updating your ePortfolio
Progression will be assessed against the Decision Aid relevant to the curriculum the trainee is following and can be downloaded from the JRCPTB website:
Trainees are advised to use the Firth Calculator (MS Excel Format) to evidence their logbook and to upload this to the document library section of their ePortfolio at the end of each placement (or before their ARCP if this is earlier) ready for review by the ARCP panel.
Further Requirements to Complete
In addition to completing the requirements of the Decision Aid, all trainees are required annually to complete:
- TAB version of multi-source feedback
- An assessment of on-take performance form. This must be uploaded to the personal library section of ePortfolio at the end of each placement
- JEST (failure to complete this will result in an automatic unsatisfactory ARCP outcome)
- GMC survey (failure to complete this will result in an automatic unsatisfactory ARCP outcome)
