Welcome to the Trainer pages. Please use the links on the right hand side of the page to navigate your way around the site, and also refer to the downloads on the right hand side.   Many of the questions we receive from trainers are covered in the FAQ section (see the General Practice home page) so this is a good starting point for new trainees. there is also a lot of material (podcasts and screencasts) about training in the West Midlands on the GPeHub

Trainers are invited to contribute to the development of the School of Postgraduate General Practice via representation on the Area Programme GP Education Committee

The West Midlands Region is split into 5 sub-regions or "programmes" and each programme will have two or more geographically based "vocational training schemes". Traditionally the off-site teaching takes place in the local postgraduate centre but we are moving to more community-based venues in keeping with our community orientation. Cluster Based Learning is also a feature of out training programmes whereby trainees meet in small clusters of 15-20 trainees in local training practices to share experiences and learn from each other. The timings of these clusters will vary depending on local need. Please contact your local Training Programme Director for more information.
