Each placement will start with a formal induction. All trainees must have an educational supervisor, ie a named consultant/trainer responsible for supervising their placement/programme. All training programmes will comply with regional educational standards and appropriate College & GMC guidelines. Trainees will have their training needs assessed, be given educational objectives and the opportunities to achieve them. Trainees will be assessed and given feedback on their performance at appropriate intervals.
