The FPH e-portfolio system is an online tool that allows registrars to update their progress against the 2015 Public Health Curriculum, and to store evidence to demonstrate their progress in training. The tool allows both registrars and their supervisors to review and discuss training progress in direct relation to specific training competencies, with in built functions to approve evidence against key learning outcomes.

This customised e-portfolio system is accessible 24 hours a day from any computer with an internet connection, and has been designed for all UK public health registrars in a specialist training programme. A guidance manual is available online and to download at:

https://www.fph.org.uk/training-careers/specialty-training/training-eportfolio/

It is advised that all users carefully read the guidance manual before using the portfolio system.  Further advice will be provided at induction for newly appointed registrars.

Following a session run by Jayne Parry on e-portfolio for the registrars, below is a video which is aimed at Educational supervisors - it is 27 minutes long and begins with a short section on what e-portfolio is and some questions from registrars on the process of sign off.

Also below is a competency grid spreadsheet which compiles the curriculum requirements as well as the types of evidence that are acceptable (Direct Observation of Practice, Case based Discussion etc).
