A Career in Occupational Medicine
There are good career opportunities with many large organisations in both manufacturing and service industries having their own in-house Occupational Health Services.

Within the NHS, Occupational Medicine is one of the fastest growing specialties.

Out of hours commitments are usually minimal. Opportunities exist to become self-employed and to determine your own working hours.

A Varied & Challenging Career
The work is varied, interesting and challenging, combining clinical medical practice with the need to influence and shape the behaviour of both individuals and the organisations they work for. It involves visiting workplaces, liaising closely with medical and non-medical colleagues such as occupational hygienists, disability employment advisers, managers and union and safety representatives.

There are ample opportunities to undertake research.
