There are a wide variety of courses and training opportunities provided across the region. These may be coordinated by the Deanery, or by enthusiastic trainers at local sites. In addition to the mandatory life support courses, there are opportunities to gain skills in practical procedures such as ultrasound and surgical skills, and regional continuing education meetings where both trainees and senior clinicians can meet and stay up to date with current opinion.

Trainers wishing to promote courses or meetings are invited to use this website - contact the site administrator.

In addition to one-off courses, there are rolling training programs provided to trainees. A minimum rate of attendance is usually expected by trainees, and employing trusts are expected to release trainees from clinical committments to allow them to attend.
