ST2 training involves further development of your clinical knowledge & skills with the focus throughout this year being on anaesthesia. You will rotate between anaesthesia and intensive care medicine, spending either 6 months in each or 9 months in anaesthesia & 3 months in ICM depending on your trust. The ACCS curriculum should guide your learning and evidence for your portfolio, the ARCP requirements are summarised in the links.

It's important to keep your links with Emergency Medicine - both through maintaining contact with your educational supervisor from ST1 and by involving yourself with the ED within the trust in which you're working. ACCS teaching days - 10 a year, with 3 combined with higher specialist trainees - also offer an opportunity to meet trainees from EM and learn from each other.
