Background
The MTI scheme allows a small number of International Medical Graduates (IMG’s) to enter the UK to experience training and development in the NHS for a maximum of 2 years, before returning to their home country. Entry is permitted under the Tier 5 Visa according to the UK immigration laws
International Medical Graduates will be supervised during their experience by an experienced Consultant.
Applications
The application process for an MTI is a joint process between medical Royal Colleges, HEWM, NHS Trusts and the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges (AoMRC) with support from the Department of Health.
