Clinical Attachments are for International Medical Graduates , who are looking to gain some experience of the NHS.
A clinical attachment gives an insight to working within the NHS and the UK medical, legal and cultural traditions and is a great way for doctors to learn about UK clinical practice and NHS procedures. The scheme is intended to build confidence and improve chances of passing exams and recruitment potential.
A clinical attachment runs for a maximum of 12 weeks and can be taken at any participating trust in a chosen speciality providing there is an consultant who has agreed to supervise the attachment. Consultants are not obliged to take on a clinical attachment and is done out of good will.
- Not already have had a clinical attachment placement or worked in the NHS
- Passed PLAB 1 & 2
- Passed IELTS at 7.0
- Less than 4 years since completing their primary medical degree
- Must be living in the West Midlands, and hold an entry visa.
