Keeping skills and knowledge up to date throughout your career is an important part of being a dental professional.

All Dental professionals need to undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD).     CPD can support dental care professionals in maintaining and updating their skills, knowledge and behaviour throughout their career.

As a registered dental professional you have a duty to maintain, develop and work within your professional knowledge and skills and make sure that your personal behaviour maintains patients confidence in you and the dental profession, so you can provide the best possible treatment and care as documented in the Scope of Practice and GDC standards documents.

Health Education England working across the West Midlands (HEEWM) provides a range of courses throughout the region that are suitable for the dental team. These courses can be found on the maxcourse website http://www.maxcourse.co.uk/wmsha/guestHome.asp .

HEEWM have also commissioned a number of E-learning courses which are available to the Dental Team and these listed on the CPD page

Please do not hesitate to contact the appropriate Dental Educator if you have any queries regarding registration, CPD, indemnity or courses and we would be happy to discuss these with you.
